Owls on the Brain

Apparently making some owl onesies yesterday wasn't enough. I had to listen to one hooting outside my window ALL night long last night. We live in a freakin wild kingdom. We usually have an owl making noise all night throughout the fall and just found out this morning that we have a pair of baby skunks living under our house.

So, as my "ode to the owl", I made a few more onesies this morning. Don't expect any skunk designs.

Oh, and thanks for voting in the poll to the right. Customer feedback is important to me so for those who think my owl design needs some improvement, I'd love for you to leave your thoughts in my comments.

Cute! One comment that wasn't on the poll was that I wouldn't mind seeing some long sleeve onesies...I'll be in need of a new baby gift this fall, but it's chilly in Michigan then!

I am seeing owls everywhere too and had already planned on making the girls some fall outfits with owl appliques when I saw you had made some! Yours are so cute! I love the button eyes. The only improvement I can think of is to have the middle of the top of the head dip down slightly to look like an actual owl and not just a bird...sort of like a v shape. Hope that makes sense!

It does make sense Marie but the owl appliques I've seen in that shape end up looking too mean and creepy for baby clothes (at least to me!). In fact, after I listed my onesies yesterday, I decided to check out what other owl stuff is listed on Etsy and there are some really scary looking owls on baby stuff. Maybe with fun fabrics though, it wouldn't look as creepy.

Hi Kelci-makes perfect sense about being creepy...I didn't think about that, you should just keep it the way it is.

I think you could use Marie's idea for some boy owls (so they don't look like girly-owls). :)
