First, just listed this fabulous new bag. Love this fabric combo, as evidenced by my new red and brown logo.
Second, I'm taking a knitting/crochet class this Saturday. I already know very basic crochet but just like sewing, I can't read a pattern to save my life. Our local shop offers free classes with purchase so I've picked out a pattern, have my hook ready, and am going to learn to crochet, read a pattern, buy some expensive yarn, and make a cute little vest for the baby this weekend. Ok, I probably won't finish this weekend but I predict I will become completely obsessed and finish it quickly. The shop also has an "open knit" night every Thursday so I might use that as an excuse to get out of the house regularly without my constant mini companions. If you're in the 5 cities area and feeling domestic, email me at craftymamacreations@gmail.com and I'll give you details on the class.
Lastly, I'm turning 30 this Sunday. I don't find it to be a really big deal but it does somehow make adulthood feel more official. I know, kids and a husband kind of already made me an adult but thirty just sounds really different from 29, you know? Anyway, I'll be having a fabulous sale in my shop Friday-Monday to celebrate. Make sure to check back here tomorrow for details.

Hey, that sounds a lot like the Friday Night Knitting Club. I just finished the book and cried like a baby at the end. That vest is adorable and I'm sure it will look adorable on Matea. Happy early 30th-look forward to seeing what kind of sale you have!
Ok, two things Marie...I'm totally building it up to be Friday Night Knitting Club in my mind. How sad is that? And I swore I saw you in Walmart today. I actually did a double-take and then said out loud to my girls, "She doesn't even live in this state."
So, after I turned 30, I started to feel really old, even though I know I am not. My body is just not the same, unfortunately. Wish we could celebrate the big 3-0 together! Your gift is on the way tomorrow! ;)
You never know I could be there one day! Jacob is from CA and we plan on taking a trip back one day soon. I've always wanted to go to northern CA. And anything even remotely close to the book in real life sounds good to me. :)
Your age is just catching up with your responsibilities!!! I love saying I am 30, people stop thinking of you as a kid.
Happy Early Birthday, Kelci! Hah, 30 is SO YOUNG! At least it is when you are fast approaching 40 lol And hey, I still don't really feel like an adult lol
Oh, and I loved the Friday Night Knitting Club, great book!
You are so fun to read each time. Wish you lived in Tacoma, WA. Our local shops are so friendly to help beginners with knitting and crocheting. When you mentioned you were making the vest for the baby, I got all excited and thought you were expecting again. Can you tell I am so past 30 that you are younger than my youngest daughter??? I love to vicariously enjoy your youth, Jona's, Heather B. and others. Reminds me of the good old days when my girls were girls. Keep up the good work.
