Why do a lot of you feel like you can't carry a pink diaper bag if you have a boy? I mean, he's not wearing the bag or being carried in it. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "Oh, I love that bag but I can't buy it because it's pink" or I get a custom order request that says "anything but pink or floral, I have a boy so no fun girlie stuff for me". I'm really baffled by the whole thing.
Anyway, part of why I ask is that a good friend's wife is having a baby shower next weekend and they don't know the sex of the baby. I wanted to send her a bag and checked out her registry to get a better idea of her taste. She registered for a lot of brown/blue and brown/green combos in mod patterns so I thought this bag would fit her taste...
But, if she ends up having a boy, will she not want to use the bag because it's pink? Someone please explain this whole issue to me.
Anyway, if you've had your eye on the above bag, now may be your last chance to scoop it up. And I think it's time to give myself a new bag too so either one of these might be gone by Monday if you don't make a move before then.

Don't have any boys but maybe they think people will think their child is a girl if the diaper bag is pink? They shouldn't, but who knows!
Personally, I stayed with a bag that DH would be able to carry too, so I had girls and STILL avoided pink!
But I think it's a beautiful bag and she would LOVE it!
I don't know really??? I had a standard black one with Tyler, and have a brown/pink one with Allie. It has all the baby stuff in it, so maybe that's why.... I don't think I would have carried a pink bag with a boy though....
Like the others, I am not really sure! LOL!
I leave my diaper bag w/ dc all the time, grand's, etc . . . so I think I do mine in blue's/neutral's so that everyone knows they are BOYS! LMAO! Yes, when they were infants people would ask, so I guess I have always kept 'boy' colors for that fact.
Would I carry a pink diaper bag now for the boys? No, I think I would still keep the blue's/green's, etc . . . just the way the world does it I guess. LOL!
I'm preggo with a boy, but I don't feel the need to have a "boy" bag... if i'm the only one using it! Maybe they want to make sure it's a bag their hubby will use too.
I would LOVE a cute girly bag even though we're having a boy (all we have is a plain black one) esp since our daughter will still be in diapers too.
Hi Kelci-
For me personally, I just didn't want a pink bag for my son. Plus, I tried to stick to a bag that my hubby could carry too. Bags made for boys could go either way, but a pink bag I think is just for girls. I love the rocket bag and the froggy bags you made. Now those are really cute and perfect for a trendy mom of boys. AND they can be used for girls too.
